Internship Programme

ARI has been receiving undergraduate and postgraduate students under the ARI internship Programme since 2006. This programme has been jointly created with the Chinese University of Hong Kong, City University of Hong Kong and the University of British Columbia. The student participants are selected by their respective Universities to participate in the Internship Programme at ARI. They are provided with funding for travel and accommodation by their universities. At ARI, the interns are provided with a work space and supervisors are appointed to provide mentorship and guidance.

The objectives of the programme are to create opportunities for students to be exposed to an academic research environment, to observe the workings of a research institute, and to participate more fully in one particular designated responsibility at the institute. The intern gains working experience in a research environment, and is introduced to professional research practices and administration. Interns may join the research work of a cluster, and/or assist the administrative team in providing support functions.
